Taming the hunger beast at the mall (without junk)

To me, kids and shopping are a bit like peanut butter and bananas.
Some people love the combo (Elvis, right?), most people don’t, and others downright shudder at the thought.
My kids are usually troopers at the mall or supermarket  save the time my shoe-addicted 3-year-old almost had a kiddie brain melt in a Payless one day. An aisle full of Dora- and Barbie Princess shoes and mean Mommy will only one buy one pair?!
But grabbing a bite with them at the food court usually feels like an exercise in choosing between junk, junk and more junk.
Not so fast, writes former Journal News colleague and fellow mom Jayne Jacova Feld in this piece for SJ (South Jersey) magazine.
Your local food court may not be as unhealthy as you think.
What do you think? What’s your best healthy meal at local malls?

what? wendy’s dollar menu. get her the chicken nuggets and a frosty. how is that junk?
The junk is the fake italian and asian food they try to sell .. and the fatburger for a ton of money.
as for healthy food? That which does not kill and makes you stronger is healthy. too much of anything is bad. but if you have moderation there isnt much that is unhealthy. too many carrots can turn u orange and cause severe issues.
